7/22 – Last day of class. We'll be looking at a neat example of a CSS based navigation system and going over getting your files onto the web.
I began an HTML & CSS cheat sheet, but then found much better ones that already exist on the net. So, I'm linking to those instead. With these, your book, and the links from last week (as well as a web developers' best friends: search engines), you should be well equipped to dig deeper into HTML and CSS after the class.
7/15 – We'll be covering more CSS today, with a focus on some more advanced selectors and getting into layout with CSS.
I apologize that there is no slideshow presentation this week for you to download, but here are some links that will help with the topics we'll be covering:
IF/THEN Writing HTML & CSS Guide, W3Schools Guide to CSS, MaxDesign CSS Layout Examples., MaxDesign CSS Tutorials and Examples for Lists, Selectors and Floating., Tutorial: Coding a Layout, Monday by Noon: Dev & Design Process
The homework project this week will be your choice between either continuing to work on the website from past week's homework assignments, or you may work on a brand new design for the CSS Zen Garden. I'll go over the specifics in class, but you can if you need more information.
7/8 – Today we take our first look at CSS. Most of the class will be focused on many fun CSS properties we can modify to add style to our HTML.
If you haven't yet noticed, most everything you'll need to know for completing the homework (including the actual assignment) is in the presentation pdf files for each week.
I've also added the sample homework I showed last week for those who had trouble with the week 2 homework.
7/1 – Today we'll be covering some powerful HTML tags for creating links, images, lists, and tables.
Grab the presentation file and example files to follow along on your computer. →
6/24 – Welcome students! Glad to have you all here.
This week, we'll cover a little background on HTML and take our first look under the hood to see what the code looks like.
